The Making of a God

Once the most deadly warrior in all of ancient Greece, Kratos commanded the Spartan army with an iron fist. Killer of men, women, and children, Kratos feared no man. When double crossed by the Ares, the God of War, Kratos unleashes hell itself on man and god alike. Armed with lethal double chainblades, Kratos must carve through mythology’s darkest creatures – including Medusa, Cyclops, the Hydra and more, while solving intricate puzzles in breathtaking environments. Driven by pure revenge, nothing can stop Kratos from achieving absolution.

This spring, NECA unleashes the man made god: Kratos, God of War! As a special first-look feature exclusively on NECAonline, we will be unveiling pictures of our upcoming Kratos Action Figure in various stages of development. From design to initial sculpt to our final version in packaging, we’ll be taking you every step of the way. Up first is the initial clay and wax sculpt of Kratos, complete with revisions and comparisons with the original Kratos design.

Up first is our original sculpt of Kratos, complete with corrections from the God of War developers…

…and our revised sculpt.

Finally, we have a side by side comparison of our original (left) and revised (right) sculpts of the God of War.

That’s all for our first look at the Making of a God. Keep checking back at NECAonline for more updates on the development of our Kratos Action Figure and much more!
